Produced by supporters of Fight Racism! Fight Imperialism! for International Women's Day, this notebook commemorates the socialist roots of 'International Working Women's Day' and salutes inspiring revolutionary women who have so often been written out of the history books. This compilation is not exhaustive, nor can these women's contributions be adequately covered in a few paragraphs, however we hope to inspire readers to go and find out more about their legacies.

This notebook is raising funds for Rock Around the Blockade to send young activists on a brigade to revolutionary Cuba. The brigade will deliver material aid to break the illegal US blockade and participate in two weeks of exchanges, visiting schools, health centres, community groups, women's organisations, trade unions and more.

This collection salutes some of the inspiring women revolutionaries in struggles that span over 200 years across many different countries and continents. These women did not mobilise simply for women's rights, limiting themselves to reformist demands within the narrow confines of the existing status quo; rather they were demanding revolutionary change and liberation – from colonial occupation, against imperialist exploitation, against capitalist oppression. They sought radical and systemic change for all the oppressed, whether fighting with the Kurdish women's defence forces, in the Palestinian liberation struggle, leading the anti-colonial struggle in India, or opposing the brutality of state racism in imperialist Britain.
